The Diagnostics Behind a Lens Design
An Ortho-K lens is a precision device that has to sit correctly on a specific, irregular, individual surface and apply a mapped pattern of gentle pressure across it for eight hours. That is a measurement problem before it is a manufacturing problem.

- Axial length biometry records the physical length of the eye, which is what myopia control is actually trying to slow.
- Lens design software turns those measurements into a specific geometry, then models how it should behave overnight.

What a First Visit Looks Like
The consultation exists to answer one question definitively: are you a candidate, and if so what would your program actually involve. It is not a sales appointment with a test attached.
You will have your refraction measured rather than copied, both corneas mapped, your ocular surface and tear film assessed, and, if you are a child or teen, a baseline axial length recorded. You leave with a clear answer, an explanation you can repeat at home, and your exact figure in writing if you decide to proceed. A candidacy consultation starts at $250 and is credited toward your program. A complete Ortho-K program starts at $1,800, and ongoing annual myopia control monitoring starts at $1,200.
