A quoted number means nothing until you know what sits behind it. Two practices can name similar figures where one covers a full fitting with three months of follow-up and the other covers a pair of lenses and a handshake. This page breaks our program price into its parts so you can compare it against anything else you are considering. The complete Ortho-K program starts at $1,800, and you receive your exact figure in writing before you commit. What follows is what that figure buys, component by component, and, just as importantly, what it does not cover and gets quoted separately instead.

What the Program Price Buys

What is included in the Ortho-K program price?

The comprehensive consultation and candidacy evaluation, corneal topography and mapping, custom Invisalens design for each eye, both lenses in high oxygen gas permeable material, insertion and removal training, a starter care kit, the first month of follow-up visits, and direct support during adaptation. The program starts at $1,800 and you receive your exact figure in writing before you commit.

The point of bundling is that these components are not optional extras. A fitting without topography is guesswork. A dispense without verified training is unsafe. A program without follow-up has no mechanism for catching the problems it is supposed to catch. Pricing them together means nobody has to decide which part of a safety process to skip for budget reasons.

Evaluation and Corneal Mapping

Included: comprehensive refraction covering sphere, astigmatism, and binocular vision; corneal health examination at the slit lamp; tear film assessment; pupil measurement in dim light; and three dimensional corneal topography. For every child and teen being evaluated for myopia control, baseline axial length measurement is included as well.

Topography is the component people most often do not realize they are buying. It produces the surface map your lens design is calculated from, and it is also the single best predictor of whether a predictable result is achievable for your eyes. Lens Design and Materials

Included: a custom Invisalens reverse geometry design calculated independently for each eye from its own topography, and both lenses manufactured in high Dk gas permeable material selected for overnight wear.

Two details are worth drawing out. Independent design per eye matters because your eyes are rarely symmetrical, and treating them as a matched pair is where decentration and disappointing optics start. High oxygen material matters because the lens sits under a closed eyelid for eight hours, and oxygen transmission is directly relevant to corneal health during that window rather than being a specification sheet detail. Training and Starter Care Kit

Included: hands on instruction in insertion, removal, cleaning, storage, and case care, continued until the patient or parent can perform all of it independently, plus printed and digital care guides and a starter kit with cleaning and disinfecting solutions, a storage case, and handling accessories.

We do not dispense lenses until handling is demonstrated back to us successfully. This occasionally means a second training visit, and that visit is inside the program price rather than billed on top. Follow-Up Visits

What Is Not Included

Replacement lenses after the warranty period. Lost or damaged lenses outside the initial coverage window are quoted separately.
Ongoing care solutions. Cleaning and storage supplies once the starter kit runs out.
Follow-up beyond month one. Available as year-one continuity or per visit.
Annual lens replacement. Lenses are typically replaced yearly as prescriptions and corneas change.
Backup or travel lenses. A second set is available and quoted separately.
Combination myopia therapies. Low dose atropine or other adjuncts, where clinically indicated for a child, are discussed and priced separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are both lenses included?

Yes. The program price covers a lens for each eye, designed independently from its own topography.

If only one eye requires treatment, that changes the figure and is reflected in your written estimate.

What if the first design needs to be changed?

Design refinements within the covered window are part of the program rather than a new charge. Some eyes need a second design to center properly, and that is a normal part of fitting rather than a fault.

Refinements after the covered window, or a redesign prompted by a genuine prescription change a year later, are quoted at the time.

Do I get the cleaning solutions?

A starter care kit with cleaning and disinfecting solutions, a storage case, and handling accessories is included to begin treatment.

What happens if I lose a lens?

Within the initial warranty window, replacement is covered under the terms set out on your written estimate. Outside it, a replacement is quoted separately.

If losing a lens would leave you badly stuck, a backup set is worth discussing at the consultation. It is quoted separately and some patients consider it worthwhile.

Is the myopia control program included in the fitting price?

No, they are separate. The fitting covers getting your child into well fitting lenses with clear vision. The myopia control program covers the ongoing measurement and reporting that tells you whether progression is actually slowing.

The ongoing annual program starts at $1,200 and includes scheduled axial length measurement, structured progress visits, and written reporting. You receive your exact figure in writing before you commit.

How do I compare this against another practice?

Ask three questions: how many follow-up visits are included before extra charges begin, whether corneal topography and design refinements are inside the price, and what the full exclusions list looks like.
